Enjoying TC at its best

The crystal clear days this week have washed away memories of the gale force gusts that hampered all the Southern Lakes ski fields at times over the seven days. Once again we were lucky to be able to operate the Home Basin when many other areas had to close.

Chasing the sun throughout the day has been the name of the game with lots of awesome softened slopes to be found. Gun Barrel and the Saddle pipes have been favourites with many and Powder Bowl offering some great soft lines early Sunday. We are continuing to greet lots of new faces to the mountain daily, and this time of year see’s our local little ones hitting the slopes every Sunday with the Riders + Sliders programme.

Check out this blast from the past for another original TC snow child, Anna Smoothy with her post here over at The TC Blog. We also welcome another couple of great video edits from our own recent Snow Stories update and an exciting exploration of some of Treble Cones most exciting big mountain terrain by blogger Mark Von Roy.

TCpass profile - how many metres R u doing?

Recognise this man to your left? Ex snowsports school director, long time local and realtor Noel Williams. When I met Noel he had hair, a mini van and a scottish girlfriend.

Didn't take him long to get rid of all three.

Having a look at his TCpass online profile is a good indicator of how his seasons been going. First up he missed Opening day! You don't have black marks on your record but Noel has mentally put one there anyway. Then 24th July - only one run that day - a reminder of when he pulled his calf. Fortunatley got over that quickly and headed for his best day so far on the 31st as you can see below when he clocked up 6750m.

Skiing with Varney and Johnson on Monday was a bit of a handbrake. As an overview looking to put a bit more purple metres in the saddle over the next few weeks. However that does take him away from the cafe and a rehydrating beer. A couple of weeks in and well on target to exceed 100,000m this season.

So check yourself out on TCpass. Avoid the lift queues if you need an extra day. From this screen you can 'go shopping' and add a day to your profile valid for anytime this season. Currently every person needs their own profile (we'll link families together for 2012). If you are having trouble activating your card or you have created an extra profile and its not linked to your TCpass send marketing an email with your full name and DOB and we'll sort you out.

Cheers and look forward to getting up the mountain this season!
