Triple treat for proud Kiwi punters

KIWI punters have extra reason to get excited this weekend, with the TAB offering a special combo-bet on New Zealand contenders in three big sports events.

The TAB’s Kiwi Triple Treat pits the New Zealand Warriors, the All Blacks and champion galloper So You Think against top-quality international competition, offering a fixed odds price of $17 on our Kiwi contenders to sweep all three events.

The All Blacks kick things off in the first leg on Saturday afternoon when they take on Canada in their final Rugby World Cup 2011 pool match in Wellington. The All Blacks will win head-to-head, so the TAB is offering a special points spread as part of the combo bet, tipping the Men in Black to prevail by 50 points or more.

The second leg sees the New Zealand Warriors go head-to-head with the Manly Sea Eagles in Sunday evening’s National Rugby League Grand Final in Sydney. The Warriors are on a giant-killing run of form and there are plenty of reasons to think they might go all the way in 2011.

On the other side of the world in Paris, star Kiwi-bred galloper So You Think will be out to complete a winning weekend for New Zealand early Monday morning when he takes to the track as one of the favourites in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe – Europe’s most prestigious thoroughbred race.

The big race will be screened live on TAB TV (SKY Channel 35) at 3.15am on Monday morning.

TAB bookie Mark Stafford said a stunning weekend of Kiwi sport beckoned.
