Nelson Powerball Player Wins $6
Million
Just one week out from Christmas Eve, a Powerball prize of $6 million has been won tonight by a player in Nelson, says Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.
“This win brings some good news to the flood-affected region. There are also seven shopping days until Christmas, so our latest Powerball winner still has time to upgrade their Christmas presents if they wanted,” says Mr McLeay.
The winning Lotto Powerball ticket was sold at Richmond Night N Day in Nelson.
Their win comes just a few weeks after an Auckland man won $6.1 million with Powerball, using Lotto numbers brought to him in a dream.
Meanwhile, there were 14 Lotto winners, each winning a $214,286 share of First Division. The tickets were sold at Richmond Night N Day in Nelson (ten winners), Countdown Manukau and Browns Bay Toyworld in Auckland, Take Note Dinsdale in Hamilton and Wainoni Pak N Save in Christchurch.
Meanwhile, Vicky from Hamilton won the top prize of $1 million on Lotto’s Winning Wheel on the live draw this evening.
Vicky is a mother raising three children, who works as a hospital administrator. She now plans buying her own land and house with her amazing prize.
All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto’s Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.
Tonight’s Winning Wheel ticket was bought at Pak N Save Pukekohe in Auckland. The serial number is 301-46434593-20xx.
Strike Four has jackpotted and will be worth an estimated $500,000 next week.
Anyone who bought their ticket from the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet or contact NZ Lotteries about claiming in Wellington.
