Northland TV Top Of The Country For Digital

Whangarei and Northland regional television audiences are now amongst the first to enjoy the benefits of regional digital TV, well ahead of the West Coast and Hawkes Bay the first two regions scheduled to go completely digital in September.

Broadcasting from its studios at Manaia School , Northland TV leads its programming line up with local news, current affairs, documentaries and student focussed and produced shows.

“It’s all about local stories, passionate people talking about their ideas for this region, our sports and arts, local advertising, events and business promotions and the 24/7 international news channel Russia Today,” said Gareth Mauchline Northland TV’s Executive Producer.

“Digital transmission is a major benefit for our viewers and the station, as its coverage footprint has increased because of the digital signal. And with that better pictures, sound and new services such as the digital programming guide.

“And you don’t need a new TV to enjoy Northland TV’s digital transmission as almost any television can go digital with the right equipment. To see exactly what you need I suggest people check out www.goingdigital.co.nz or call the free phone 0800 838 800.

“Currently the station is broadcasting in both digital and analogue however we go completely digital from December this year in preparation for the national Going Digital date of Sunday 1 December 2013."
