The Return of the Transit Camp
The Return of the Transit Camp
Media release from: The
Tamaki Housing Group
The Tamaki Housing Group consists of long term well established state tenant families affected by the threat of losing their homes, these soon to be affected tenants, private home owners, business people and disgruntled residents from other areas are horrified Glen Innes North state tenants are the experimental guinea pigs for what will be inflicted on the community at large in the near future.
The Tamaki Housing Group publicly disassociates themselves from the vested interest groups who do not speak on behalf of our community and stand to gain parcels of state houses and funding. It is a disgrace these vested interest groups support a return of the Transit Housing regime and temporary tenanted ‘high rise mesh block’ compounds, which we strongly appose.
Join the Glen Innes tenants, homeowners and Glen Innes community with opposition spokesperson on housing, Annette King and other guests. Venue 77 Line Road, Glen Innes at 6.00pm Monday 13th February 2012.
