Countdown Northwood has reopened
Saturday 10 March 2012: Countdown Northwood has today reopened following the completion of urgent strengthening work to part of the Northwood Supa Centa.
On late Thursday afternoon, Countdown received engineering reports from our landlord assessing the seismic strength of the building.
Managing Director of Countdown, Mr Dave Chambers, said the report identified the need for urgent repairs and the store was instructed to close immediately.
“This work has been successfully completed and our landlord’s engineers have now certified that the building is safe to occupy. The supermarket reopened shortly after 9:00am on Saturday morning,” Mr Chambers said.
“We acknowledge that this has been an inconvenience
but the safety of our customers and team will always be our
first priority,” he added.
