Campaign to Stop the Industrialisation of the Sounds
We are fighting another fight to stop the degradation of the Sounds by Salmon farm expansion.
New Zealand King Salmon – or more correctly Malaysian King Salmon, are pushing to overturn the areas that prohibit marine farming for profit.
They want to take over more pristine bays and locations to grow in these pens salmon for the world market.
The salmon have no life – literally force fed, and swimming around in a continuous spiral of despair in their own faeces, that is their misery.
We need to stop this expansion ,that unless stopped now, will surely exponentially grow until there are no more Marlborough Sounds, instead replaced by Marlborough Sewers from the filth of fish food and faeces.
Anyone can make a submission against the salmon farm application for more water space privatisation . Once fenced off, like these 1-2 rugby field sized pens ,the water is taken from all public use for decades. It is polluted for decades.
When submissions open at the end of March – and just for 20 days – please take a moment to Object. If you need a template or grounds on which to object let me know by email. Drop a copy in the mail to and be in the draw for a vacation at our place.
Please forward to everyone in your address book – Anyone anywhere, in NZ or abroad are able to submit.
