The Foundation's broad based funding approach provides funds more widely than any other trust in the country across the categories of Sport, Health, Education and Community, which includes The Arts, Heritage, Culture and the Environment. The Lion Foundation receives hundreds of applications each month from Kiwis who are making a positive difference in their community.
Notable grants this month include support towards a new endoscopic camera for the Wellington Zoo, wireless infrastructure and netbooks for Tauranga Girls College, construction and installation of handrails for Melrose Historic House in Nelson, recycling stations for Kaikoura Primary School classrooms and support for New Plymouth Mountain Bikers Club towards building new tracks at Mangamahoe Forest.
The Lion Foundation may be able to help your community group to. Feel free to contact us if you would like to find out more
