Record Numbers at Hawke’s Bay Better Home & Living Show

Record Numbers at Hawke’s Bay Better Home & Living Show

More than 8,300 people flocked through the doors at the Hawke’s Bay Better Home & Living Show at Pettigrew Green Arena, surpassing expectations of show organisers Jade Promotions.

The Better Home & Living Show concept is the brainchild of co-owner Daniel Joll and was launched in the home town of the company three years ago with a theme of sustainable home, building and better living.

More than 100 exhibitors showcased their wares over the three day event and despite the economic downturn, exhibitors reported an increase in sales and in some cases some sold completely out of the products on offer.

Jade Promotions is the most experienced provider of home garden and lifestyle shows producing 10 home and garden and better home and living shows nation-wide.

“Since July 2011, without exception every show we have run has had an increase in visitors ranging between five and 30 percent. This weekend was no exception and we were delighted to see a strong crowd of high calibre visitors,” Mr Joll said.

“In a tough market you have to be innovative in your thinking. We continually strive to deliver successful high quality events for both exhibitors and the public and I’m delighted that a combined team effort ensured a great result.”

“This year, without exception our experience and skill, combined with our investment in marketing for the show and its exhibitors, means we will be back next year with a three day event. We are delighted to give back to the community by employing locally and will be doing the same thing in 2013.” he said.

Local Hastings resident Marie Millman was delighted to find out she had won the Daikin heat pump show prize package of $4,000 dollars courtesy of Coldrite and all she did was enter her name at one of the seven show computer terminals as she walked through the doors on Friday.
