Award nominations chance to
recognise volunteers
Nominating someone
for a Hutt City community award is a great way of saying
thank you for outstanding community volunteer work, says
Mayor Ray Wallace.
There are two awards open for nominations until 5pm, Friday 27 July:
Safe City Community Awards – recognising individuals and organisations who contribute to safety in Hutt City through crime prevention or other safety initiatives. Awards are presented by council in partnership with New Zealand Police, Armourguard and the Hospitality Association of New Zealand.
Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards – recognising the volunteer contribution of Hutt City community groups in five categories: heritage and environment, health and wellbeing, arts and culture, sport and leisure, education and child/youth development. Awards are a Wellington International Airport initiative in partnership with the Wellington Community Trust.
Nomination forms for both awards can be downloaded from www.huttcity.govt.nz/communityawards. Online nominations can also be made for Safe Hutt City Awards.
Awards will be presented at the Hutt City
Community Awards evening in September.
