The Living Legends Muck-In lives on. Living Legends is a community conservation project that was set up in 2011 to commemorate New Zealand’s hosting of Rugby World Cup. Last year we planted 83,000 trees. The target is to plant 170,000 before the end of 2015.This year, public planting events will take place across 17 locations during August and September. We have 45,000 trees to plant this year so we need your help! For 2012 we have a further 2500 native trees to plant at this Northland site.
Each planting project is dedicated to a regional ‘Rugby Legend’ who was selected in 2011 by their provincial rugby union. These Rugby Legends are people who have made an outstanding contribution to rugby in New Zealand. Come along to a Living Legends event this year and you may be lucky enough to meet your local Rugby Legend!
