Petone Winter Carnival back for 2012
Petone Winter Carnival back for 2012
Lower Hutt's premier annual event, the Petone Winter Carnival, is back for 2012 and, once again, is set to provide a full day of entertainment for 50,000+ people on the Petone Foreshore.
The Carnival is scheduled for Saturday 25 August, with a slightly earlier start time of 12pm.
Organisers are promising the return of many crowd favourites such as the Rotary Club of Hutt City Fire Sculptures, carnival rides, circus performances and workshops, and, of course, the Pelorus Trust Fireshow finale at 7.30pm from the Petone Wharf.
New additions from 2011, the market and the Night Parade, will be expanded on this year, packing even more into an already action-filled day.
While the line-up is already looking strong, Hutt City Council is calling for any further interest from stallholders, food vendors, and entertainment providers for this year's event.
Registrations of interest are now open,
