4 July 2012

Emergency works to be undertaken on SH2 between Kairua Road and Domain Road Papapa motorists

Motorists planning to travel along State Highway 2 from Domain Road, Papamoa to Kairua Road are advised to expect delays as emergency works needs to be undertaken to repair cracks to the road as a result of the heavy rain last night.

The NZTA says a diversion will be in place on both lanes around the area where the road will be repaired and a speed restriction of 50km/h will be in place along Domain Road and Kairua Road.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes where possible, while the emergency works is being undertaken today and possibly overnight to complete the work.

We thank motorists for their patience while we undertake this work. Motorists wanting to find out more about this road works to call the freephone 0800 4HIGHWAYS (0800 44 44 49) or visit the NZTA website on www.nzta.govt.nz (current highway conditions).
