Auckland: Closure of Northern Motorway Victoria Park Flyover
19 July 2012
Closure of Auckland’s Northern Motorway Victoria Park Flyover
The NZ Transport Agency advises drivers that the Southbound lanes on the Victoria Park flyover on Auckland’s Northern Motorway (State Highway 1) will be closed tonight, 19 July, for urgent lighting repair work.
The Southbound lanes of the Motorway will be closed from Fanshawe to Hobson Street. The links from State Highway 1 to Cook Street, Port and the Northwestern Motorway (State Highway 16) will also be closed.
To minimise disruption to drivers, the NZTA will carry out repairs between 10pm and 5am when traffic is at its lightest.
The NZTA will have detours in place via Fanshawe to Hobson Street or Port, and drivers are asked to follow the signposted routes.
Northbound lanes on the motorway are not affected by the closure.
The NZTA thanks motorists for their patience and apologises for any inconvenience while this important work is carried out.
