Additional Red Zone tours
Red Bus today announced additional Red Zone tours will operate this weekend to meet the high demand.
Additional tours will operate at 2pm and 3pm on Saturday, 21 and Sunday 22 July.
The Red Zone tours commenced on Tuesday, 17 July and the majority of tours have sold out since then. To meet demand over the weekend the company is adding the additional trips.
Paul McNoe, Red Bus Chief Executive said ‘we are delighted with the public interest in the tours and we have added extra tours so we don’t disappoint people who would like to see inside the cordon.’
The tours are 30-40 minutes long with a guided commentary and inbus images from Canterbury Museum, and cost $15 per person. Under 15-years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (a maximum of five under 15-year olds per parent or guardian).
The tours depart from Rolleston Avenue, outside Canterbury Museum. Bookings are essential online at www.redbus.co.nz or may be made in person at the i-Site Visitor Centre next door to the Museum in Rolleston Avenue.
People are required to remain seated throughout the tour, and wear sturdy, closed-in footwear.
