Gilmours Hamilton going the distance for Child Cancer Foundation.

Gilmours Hamilton and some of rugby’s biggest stars have teamed up and are going the extra mile for the Child Cancer Foundation, raising money for the charity that helps those children whose lives have been affected by the life threatening illness.

Sonny Bill Williams, Liam Messam and Tim Nanai-Williams, as well as others from the Chiefs rugby team have joined forces, signing All Blacks and Chiefs rugby jerseys, a Rugby World Cup ball and All Blacks training polos.

The prized memorabilia is being auctioned on Trade Me. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Child Cancer Foundation as part of the One Day for Child Cancer campaign.

Gilmours Hamilton owner-operator, Rick Donaldson says that he has been delighted and encouraged by the overwhelming support staff, customers and rugby players have shown in their fundraising efforts.

“We could not have done this without the support from many of the Chiefs rugby team, our suppliers, as well as our staff here at Gilmours Hamilton, who saw the opportunity to make a difference and ran with it – the team are really passionate when it comes to raising funds for a charity!” says Rick.

“We pride ourselves on being an active supporter of many community and charity initiatives throughout New Zealand, such as One Day for Child Cancer, Westpac Waikato Air Ambulance, and the Red Cross Christchurch Earthquake Appeal. Gilmours Hamilton’s commitment to the health and wellbeing of children in New Zealand is always front of mind, as is fundraising for this worthy cause; the only question we had to answer was how were we going to raise funds,” adds Rick.

To date, Gilmours Hamilton has raised an impressive $3000 throughout their fundraising efforts, and they don’t intend on stopping there.

“It’s a privilege to be in a position to make a valuable contribution to the charity and we will continue to drive fundraising efforts for the Child Cancer Foundation,” says Rick.
