Glasshouse how-to for home gardeners
Glasshouse how-to for home gardeners
20 August
2012
When is a glasshouse not a glasshouse? When it’s allowed to deteriorate into a dingy storage shed full of dirty pots, mould and algae.
A free workshop at Tupare in New Plymouth on Sunday (26 August) will not only offer tips on looking after your glasshouse, but will also cover clever ways to use it.
The workshop will take place in the glasshouse at Tupare, where Garden Manager Mitch Graham will explain how proper care and correct know-how can create a year round haven for healthy plants and pleasant gardening.
He will also discuss how glasshouses can be used to help maintain colourful interest in the home garden all year round.
Sunday’s workshop will run from 2pm to
4pm. It is part of a year-round programme of events at
Tupare, Pukeiti and Hollard Gardens, the three heritage
properties owned and administered by the Taranaki Regional
Council on behalf of the people of the
region.
