Wellington Zoo is excited to be opening their latest exhibit, Green Zoo Green You, this Sunday 16 September at 1pm. The exhibit is a fun and interactive space to learn about how simple choices can benefit the environment and the animals we share it with. The opening ceremony will be a fitting way to celebrate the end of Conservation Week.
“It’s great to have a new space where we can tell our environmental sustainability stories,” explained Chief Executive, Karen Fifield. “The Zoo has made great environmental impacts improvements over the last five years, and this gives us a fun and engaging platform to share how the community can too.”
Her Worship, the Mayor Celia Wade-Brown will be cutting the ribbon on the new exhibit at 1pm, but the festivities will begin from 11am. Visitors will be able to make their own Green Superhero masks, have their faces painted like their favourite animal, and join in with the great new interactive talks with Zoo Visitor Rangers.
Normal Zoo entry fees apply.
