More Top Chefs Join the Taste of Auckland Lineup

The buzz for New Zealand’s ultimate culinary festival continues to grow with three more high-caliber chefs signing on for Taste of Auckland; Thursday 15th November until Sunday 18th November in Victoria Park Auckland.

Taste of Auckland is a vibrant festival providing food lovers with four days of music, the best artisan food exhibitors and, of course, a showcase of premium dishes from some of Auckland’s best restaurants.

Now joining the already impressive lineup are culinary masters from top Auckland restaurants; The Commons, Mexico and Fish.

Last year Chef Nick Honeyman was one of the stars of Taste of Auckland, and he returns this year as head chef of The Commons in Takapuna. Known for finding new ways to interpret flavours, textures and techniques, Nick adds a sense of play to the mix. Food lovers should prepare to be challenged and expect the unexpected.

Mexico also comes to Victoria Park. Head Chef Javier Carmona celebrates the vibrancy of the culture with a fresher, light and flavoursome take on Mexican cuisine. The Mexico team has been rushed off their feet since the restaurant in Britomart and now in Takapuna. One of the hippest restaurants in the city and one to look out for at Taste of Auckland.

Not only is Fish known to have the best harbour views in town, but head chef Shane Yardley is known for using sustainable and, where possible, organic produce to produce culinary theatre on a plate. Having worked with Simon Gault for 17 years, most recently at the Hilton Taupo, Yardley is one of our most accomplished chefs.
