The Orewa New World Santa Parade is on again
IT'S COMING IN NOVEMBER!
The
Orewa New World Santa Parade is on
again!
Florence Avenue and
the Orewa Boulevard will come alive with the spirit of
Christmas on November 17, as the magnificent Orewa New World
Santa Parade once more ‘hits the streets’.
In 2010 more than 8,000 cheering spectators lined the route to enjoy the colour and excitement of the Orewa New World Santa Parade, the traditional Orewa start to the festive season. Eagerly anticipated by children around the area this magical parade makes Orewa come alive with the spirit and joy of Christmas, bringing smiles to the faces of spectators of all ages. Bring your biggest smiles and waves and prepare to welcome Santa and a myriad of floats, bands, dancing groups, clowns, stilt walkers and colourful costume characters. Capture the imagination of your children and give them a memory to last the rest of their lives.

Clubs, business and groups are invited to join in the celebrations by entering a float. Entry is FREE and you also have the chance to win 1 of 5 x $100 Orewa Beach Shopping Vouchers for the best float categories. Or, dress up in one of the beautiful costumes available and ‘walk the route’. Contact Diane Osborne at Destination Orewa Beach on 09 426 2638, email diane@orewabeach.co.nz or check out Santa’s website at www.orewabeach.co.nz/santaparade for more information.
After the parade browse the local shops for some Christmas presents and mingle with other locals at cafes and bars around the Orewa township then wander down to the Summer Festival which is being held after the parade on the Orewa Reserve.
So, you better watch out, you better
not frown
’cause… Santa Claus is coming to
town.
