The Life Flight Trust Transports Injured Motorcyclist
At 1420 this afternoon a Life Flight Trust team transported a man who had sustained an injury after coming off his motorbike.
The Wellington-based Westpac Rescue Helicopter, with a Wellington Free Ambulance paramedic onboard responded to the scene, approximately 5 kilometres around the coast from Red Rocks close to the Karori Rock lighthouse.
The helicopter battling high winds was able to land near the accident scene.
The man was quickly assessed on scene and then flown to the Wellington Hospital Emergency Department where he will be further treated for moderate injuries.
