State Highway 2 northbound traffic diverted following truck crash near Pokeno
The NZ Transport Agency is advising drivers heading north to Auckland via State Highway 2 that there has been a truck roll on the SH2 onramp onto SH1 north of Pokeno.
The onramp is likely to be closed for up to four hours while emergency services deal with the situation.
Diversions are in place for northbound SH2 traffic:
Motorists should take the southbound off ramp onto SH1, exit at Pokeno and then get back onto SH1 via the Pokeno northbound on ramp to continue north.
SH1 traffic travelling north and south past Pokeno in either direction is not affected.
The NZ Transport Agency works to create transport solutions for all New Zealanders – from helping new drivers earn their licences, to leading safety campaigns to investing in public transport, state highways and local roads. Follow us on twitter @nzta_news.
