The Silver Ferns are visiting Botany on 11 November, but these aren’t the ball throwing netball players, these are engine-revving, tyre-squealing rally cars.
The epay Silver Fern Rally is a week long world premier marathon of high speed gravel road driving through New Zealand’s scenic countryside. 2012 marks the return of the rally to the North Island with the three previous rallies having been held in the South Island.
The event will start at Botany Town Centre before heading to Rotorua, Gisborne, Napier, Feilding, Ohakune and Taupo completing over 1000kms of racing. Fans at Botany will be able to see sixty historic and two wheel drive rally cars before they zoom to Tauranga and Rotorua for the first day of events.
