New Burger King on the menu in Bay of Plenty

Burger King has added its seventh restaurant to the menu for the people of Bay of Plenty, opening a new drive-through on Tauranga’s convenient Cameron Road this week. It is the first new-build Burger King for the region in almost ten years.

“As the most important ingredient to any restaurant, we’re also excited to welcome 30 new part-time and full-time staff to make and serve New Zealand’s best-tasting burgers,” says a Burger King spokesperson.

The Cameron Road restaurant features Burger King’s new contemporary design theme, which is being rolled out across all restaurants throughout the country.

“Retro-style artwork and our iconic booth-seating remain, as does a nod to Burger King’s love for great music, making our restaurant a great place to meet and eat.”

As avid supporters of CanTeen, Cameron Road will join all other Burger King restaurants in communities around the country by hosting collection boxes for the charity in-store.
Burger King New Zealand’s first restaurant opened in Newmarket, Auckland in 1994. The master franchisee of the Burger King brand here is Antares Restaurant Group Ltd, which employs over 2600 people throughout its staff and management team.

Tauranga’s Cameron Road restaurant will be the 83rd Burger King restaurant in New Zealand.

Burger King was founded in Miami in 1954. It is the second largest burger chain in the world, operating in 74 countries, with around 90 percent franchised.
