Explore new plan at expo event
Aucklanders are invited to attend a special event this Saturday 16 March, to launch the new rulebook that will guide where we live, what we build, where we work and what we protect.
Taking place at the Viaduct Events Centre at Wynyard Quarter from 11am - 5pm, the expo will be an opportunity to find out what the draft Auckland Unitary Plan means for you. Council staff will be onsite to explain the key topics covered in the plan, as well as the new proposed zoning and what it this means for your property, community or busi-ness.
The expo is an event for the whole family – take the kids to the Karanga Plaza Youth Town marquee where there they can paint, draw, and build their own liveable city. A fun quiz will keep the kids entertained and a free Tip Top ice-cream is available to all those who take part.
The draft plan, which is based online, officially goes live at www.shapeauckland.co.nz on Friday at noon. Aucklanders then have until the 31 May to have a look at what is being proposed and give Auckland Council their feedback.
