Christchurch Rebuild Begins Today
Christchurch Rebuild Begins Today
Canterbury's newest home show starts today with Rebuild & Renovate Christchurch set to open it's doors at 10:00am at CBS Canterbury Arena, Addington.
Created specifically for rising demand for home products and services, Rebuild & Renovate has already proven a success, with a full lineup of exhibitors and strong ticket pre sales to the public.
A ceremony will see local celebrities Si and Gary cut the ribbon to open the show and that fabulous symbol of the Christchurch rebuild, Marmite will be served to early arrivals.
Exhibition Director Amanda Magnus says that Rebuild & Renovate has been a labour of love for the Exhibitions & Events New Zealand team who also organise the Canterbury Home Show each October.
"This show wasn't even on our radar a year ago, but demand has been growing - too strong for us to ignore," says Magnus
"We're excited that this is a real sign that the rebuild has begun!"
"Some real building trends are emerging with the show," says Magnus.
"Clearly safety is the key trend - people are wanting safer homes for the future, but likewise, energy efficiency is also top of the list. Which all bodes well for a great new Christchurch for future generations."
The
Rebuild & Renovate Show runs from today, 22nd March though
to Sunday 24th March at the
CBS Canterbury Arena,
Addington.
