Two Call outs 24th March
Today (24 March) the Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter had 2 call outs.
The first was to a 70 year old man who was injured
when he fell from a quad bike during a trail ride near
Otaki. He suffered arm and shoulder injuries. Event
organising staff assisted in marshalling the helicopter on
arrival at the scene. The on board St john Ambulance
Advanced Paramedic stabilised him at the scene before he was
transported to Palmerston North.

The second was to a motor
vehicle accident about 10 km north of Eketahuna. A 43 year
old male suffered chest injuries in the accident and was
stabilised at the scene by St John Ambulance staff before
being transported to Palmerston North.
