The Saturday Special Comes to Radio Hauraki
1 April 2013 - Radio Hauraki has lured two of New Zealand’s most talented broadcasters, Jeremy Wells and Steve Simpson, to the station, bringing with them their much-loved show - The Saturday Special.
Hauraki's Content Director Mike McClung says Wells and Simpson teaming up is the perfect combo for Radio Hauraki.
“Their sense of humour and unique view of the world will be right at home on Hauraki. We’re stoked they’re joining the team.”
Simpson says he’s looking forward to the show starting on the air.
“It’s exciting to be part of a station that’s brave enough to give us a show. The new Hauraki has balls of steel, and now with us on-board it will launch into flight not unlike a futuristic Kokako.”
"I'd say less Kokako, more Kakapo... and like the Kakapo, the Saturday Special will provide a tasty, rare offering, endemic to New Zealand" says Jeremy Wells.
The Saturday Special airs 10am-midday every Saturday on
Radio Hauraki from 6 April
2013.
