Mum’s the Word at Alberton
A group of Auckland classical singers and musicians will come together to perform a special concert of music for mothers at Alberton, the Mt Albert mansion cared for by the NZ Historic Places Trust.
The concert will include pieces written by mothers, about mothers, and featuring a selection of mothers’ favorites.
“This talented group of musicians are all looking forward to performing at beautiful Alberton, which was once home to a large family of children who may have well played for their mother some of the favorites that will be performed at this Mothers’ Day concert,” says the Manager of Alberton, Rendell McIntosh.
“The programme will have something for everyone, including music from earliest times through to the delights of today and will include young singers as well as musicians playing the harp, cello and piano.”
The concert will take place on Sunday May 12 at 4pm. Bookings are essential – admission is $25 per person. To book phone 09-479-2361 or email cahtieharrop@ihug.co.nz
