Connex is back for Term 2
Hutt City Council’s popular free sport and recreation initiative for 16 to 20 year olds is heading indoors during Term 2. Connex is all about getting young people active and positively engaged with fun sport, music and recreation in an informal and relaxed setting.
The programme provides opportunities for young people to participate with friends, connect with sport providers, and increase their confidence and self esteem. Connex encourages safe competition among young people to help build a sense of pride in their local communities.
Connex is local to Naenae, Stokes Valley and Taita and will be delivering sport to the doorsteps of young people in the North-East.
From 6 May the programme will operate:
Wednesdays, 4pm – 6pm, Naenae Community Hall, corner Treadwell St and Everest Ave, Naenae.
Thursdays, 4pm – 6pm, Stokes Valley Community Hall, Bowers St, Stokes Valley.
Fridays, 6pm - 8pm, Taita Community Hall, Taine St, Taita.
