Fatality at Hanmer Rally
A motor
rally driver has died and their co-driver is in hospital
following an accident in the Hanmer Rally this
morning.
The accident which occurred at the end of
a rally special stage is being investigated by MotorSport NZ
officials.
Shayne Harris, President of MotorSport
NZ, speaking on behalf of the Sport expressed his sympathies
to the family, friends and colleagues of the crash
victims.
Police have advised that details of
those involved will be released once next of kin have been
advised.
