TRC confirms 1.5% rates increase
13 May 2013
The Taranaki Regional Council has confirmed a 1.5% rates increase for the 2013/2014 financial year.
The confirmation came today when the Council adopted its 2013/2014 Annual Plan, after hearing submissions on the Plan.
The Council Chairman, David MacLeod, says the 1.5% rates follows last year’s nil rates increase and means the Taranaki Regional Council continues to have the lowest per capita rating in New Zealand.
“The Council looks forward to another year of undertaking its range of responsibilities, from successfully managing Taranaki’s quality environment, to providing bus services in New Plymouth and South Taranaki,” says Mr MacLeod.
