WBM AGM & Conference 17-19th May, 2013
Press release ..
WBM AGM & Conference 17-19th May,
2013
“A strong contingent from around NZ met at
Picton over the weekend for the AGM and conference of WBM
(Wildlands Biodiversity Management Society
Inc).
Enthusiasm for the coming year was built up, with many discussions focussing on future strategies.
Major concern was expressed at the on-going actions of organisations and departments which continue to promote and use the cruel 1080 poison, amongst others, in their attempts to control pests in our forests and farmlands.
Other solutions were identified and the meeting agreed to an on-going commitment to educate the public and promote the use of well researched science, through www.1080.org and www.1080science.co.nz .” ends
