Hello from Treble Cone.
Treble Cone (Wanaka, NZ) officially opened today for the 2013 snow season in spectacular fashion with great snow and great weather.
All terrain opened today including the Home Basin, the Saddle Basin (where there’s over 2m of snow), the Summit Slopes, the Motatapu Chutes, and the Matukituki Basin.
The average snow depth in the Saddle Basin is over 2m, and the average snow depth in the Home Basin is 94cm.
The weather has been brilliant for Opening Day, with many happy locals and guests enjoying Treble Cone on a brilliant blue sky day.
Pictured on quad chair close up are from left locals; Tiffany, Lynne, and Jen. Iti s Tiffany and Lynne’s eleventh at Treble Cone and their comment was ‘best yet, fantastic start’.
Kind regards,
Nick
