One person dead after car plunges into creek

One person had died after a crash in Nelson about midday.

The car with three occupants was seen coming out of Wildman Ave, near Port Nelson, on to QEll Drive.

It has crossed the highway and crashed into Saltwater Creek. The tide was in at the time.

Police have confirmed a woman was deceased at the scene. Two other occupants of the vehicle, a male and a young child, have been taken to Nelson Hospital.

A Serious Crash Investigator is in attendance and the scene has been blessed.
