Auckland Airport to help sporting teams shoot for
gold
Auckland Airport Gold Medal Awards open today for applications and offer a total sponsorship fund of up to $30,000 for sports clubs, schools and Marae within the greater Auckland region.
The Gold Medal Awards are available to sports groups, schools and Marae who wish to apply for assistance to support their sport or club goals. The awards, which are in their fourth year, aim to develop healthy young people in the Auckland region through sport and fitness.
Teams and groups can apply for funding which can be used for purchasing sports equipment, for coaching or training purposes or for helping with travel and accommodation costs for sporting events. Preference will be given to applications where the funding will be used for particular projects or initiatives that will result in tangible outcomes.
APPLICATIONS OPEN ON MONDAY 5 AUGUST AND CLOSE ON SUNDAY 1 SEPTEMBER 2013.
