More volunteers needed for Wellington Free Ambulance Street Appeal
Wellington Free Ambulance would like even more volunteers to help collect donations during its annual street appeal next week, on September 12, 13 and 14.
Wellington Free Ambulance provides ambulance and emergency services for Greater Wellington and Wairarapa people completely free of charge. It is the only ambulance service in the country to do so – everywhere else people have to pay for their ambulance trips.
Donations from the public and local businesses are critical to keep the Wellington Free Ambulance service free for patients and the annual street appeal is a significant part of that fundraising.
Money raised during the annual street appeal is used to buy ambulances and special equipment.
More volunteers will be welcomed to help collect for Wellington Free Ambulance next Friday, Saturday and Sunday (12th to 14th September).
If you live or work in Wellington city, Petone, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt or the Wairarapa and can spare an hour or two to hold a collection bucket for Wellington Free Ambulance on any of these days please give them a call on 0508 WFA FREE and let them know you can help.
