VINZ Statement on death at testing station - 31 Oct

The following has been issued by the management of Vehicle Inspection New Zealand:
On the 31st October a tragic accident occurred at our Palmerston North testing station.
This resulted in one staff member being fatally injured and another suffering minor injuries.
Vehicle Inspection New Zealand Chief Executive Officer Frank Willett comments:
This was a most tragic and unfortunate accident. Management and staff have been deeply affected.
We extend our most sincere condolences to the families concerned.
Out of respect for the families, we request privacy during these trying times.
