Mud prizes for cleanest windows on Scrub Rotorua Day
Mud prizes for cleanest windows on Scrub Rotorua Day
14 November 2013
The Mud news web site is offering city businesses an opportunity to win prizes for the shiniest windows on Scrub Rotorua Day on 23 November.
The Heart of the City project team has launched Scrub Rotorua Day as part of a campaign to lift the image of central city businesses.
The Mud is sponsoring a competition which will see newly elected Mayor Steve Chadwick choose the cleanest windows on the day.
A prize will be awarded for the top cleanest shop windows, with the winners receiving a mud bath for two at the Spa at QE.
The Mud gave the inner city issues a prime focus at its web site www.themud.co.nz during recent local body elections and its principals say the competition is a way of backing the efforts of the Heart of the City team led by Mike Steiner.
“We are pleased to support efforts to clean up the cityscape and look forward to future efforts,” The Mud principals, Mike Smith and David Dowthwaite said. “Our prize reflects our belief in the down-to-earth approach being taken for the future of Rotorua.”
Mike Steiner has been working closely with Steve Chadwick in the lead up to the event, which launches the first stage of changes to boost the look of the city face.
The mayor will start her walk around to view windows from the City Focus at 3 pm on 23 November.
