Get Wrapped to Support Charities
Get your Christmas gifts wrapped at your local Westfield Centre for a donation to a worthy charity this Christmas.
For the eighth year running, Westfield is offering free Christmas gift wrapping to shoppers throughout the festive season. In exchange for their wrapped gifts shoppers are invited to donate their spare change to a charity within the centre’s local community.
Seven charities throughout New Zealand will benefit from Westfield’s Christmas fundraising initiative including KidsCan, Wairau Valley Special School, Ronald McDonald House - South Island, the John Walker Find your Field of Dreams Swim project, the Starship Foundation, True Colours and the Blockhouse Bay Lions Club – for the Royal NZ Foundation for the Blind – Children’s Department.
Linda Trainer, General Manager of Westfield Shopping Centre Management, says; “Our gift wrapping service is one of the many ways we’re able to support our local community. We’re thrilled to be gifting donations raised from Westfield’s wrapping service to well-deserving New Zealand charities.”
The Westfield free gift wrapping fundraising project has raised close to $400,000 for various New Zealand charities since Westfield first introduced the gold coin donation for this service eight years ago.
Westfield’s free gift wrapping service starts from Monday 9 December and runs until centres close on Tuesday 24 December.
