Northland’s tallest Christmas tree is about to switched on in Kaikohe again at the conclusion of the Christmas parade and street carnival on Friday. The Tzikoucos kids pictured had fun in the weekend testing the lights before they get put on the tree. As night falls after the parade and carnival things will get under way down at Memorial Park where the tree stands. The community Christmas tree is part of the annual SHINE Kaikohe festival running over several weeks, that began last year and features the world famous parade, Santas grotto, life size nativity scene and other festivities focussing on all that is positive in Kaikohe.
