North Harbour Stadium renamed
QBE Insurance in naming rights agreement with North Harbour Stadium (QBE Stadium)
QBE Insurance and the North Harbour Stadium Trust announced that they have agreed a naming rights deal for North Harbour Stadium which will now be known as ‘QBE Stadium’.
The naming rights deal will take effect from 1 January for an initial five year period.
QBE Insurance General Manager New Zealand Operations, Ross Chapman, said, “We are delighted to sponsor the QBE Stadium and to further our support of the North Shore community and for this great venue. The area is one of the fastest growing areas within New Zealand and is widely used for sport and recreation by an increasing number of our younger citizens. We hope that our sponsorship will help develop the QBE Stadium facilities and support activities for all of the local community”.
Reno Wijnstok, Chairman of the North Harbour Stadium Trust said, “In QBE we have a very solid partner that has already demonstrated a strong commitment to the North Harbour Region. We look forward to working together and further developing a mutually advantageous relationship”.
