Helicopters respond to accident north of Wairoa

The Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter and Eastland Rescue Helicopter crews were both responded to a car vs. truck accident north of Wairoa. The Eastland Rescue Helicopter airlifted a 47 year old male truck driver with head and chest injuries and the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter airlifted a 59 year old female car driver with serious fractures and lacerations.
Both were transported to Hawke’s Bay Regional Hospital for further treatment.
