Kindest cuts of all at Tupare
Kindest cuts of all at Tupare
10 February 2014
Sharp work at this time of year can pay big dividends when spring and summer roll around again – and home gardeners can find out why and how at a free workshop at Tupare in New Plymouth on Sunday (16 February).
The pruning workshop will focus on shrubs such as Deutzias and mock oranges, and how to prune them to achieve a dazzling floral display next season. Tools and techniques will also be covered.
Sunday’s workshop runs from 2pm to 4pm at Tupare, 487 Mangorei Road. It is part of a year-round programme of workshops and other events at Tupare, Pukeiti and Hollard Gardens, the three heritage properties owned and administered by the Taranaki Regional Council on behalf of the people of the region.
For more information, see www.tupare.info, www.hollardgardens.info and www.pukeiti.org.nz. Social media users can also follow the Taranaki Regional Council gardens on Facebook (TaranakiRegionalGardens) and Twitter (@TaranakiRG).
