Mastering Wanganui’s Misconceptions

Mastering Wanganui’s Misconceptions

Monday 29th September

In just 122 short days, Wanganui will be transformed into a buzzing metropolis of athletes, supporters and their families!

Wanganui Events Trust Chief Executive Judy Doylesays “it’s time for Wanganui to let New Zealand know why the biggest sporting event in the country has been held bi-annually in Wanganui for the past 25 years – we are a can-do community with spirit!”

Doyle is calling for all local people to get involved with next year’s New Zealand Masters Games (NZMG)whether competing or supporting, however she says ‘with 58 sports on offer and 30 of these available to people aged 20-30, there’s absolutely no reason why we can’t have the best local turn out we’ve ever had’.

This year, the Early Bird Entry Fee for athletes is set at $45 which gives the participant free entry to ten days of nightly entertainment, free entry to the opening and closing ceremony, free entry to all Games sports venues, free medical treatment on any sports injuriessustained while competing in the NZMG, a full NZMGcompetitor pack, participation certificate and souvenir handbook.

For those who wish to be a part of the fun but don’t want to compete, they can purchase their Early Bird Supporter pass for just $35, which allows the participant free entry to ten days of nightly entertainment, free entry to the opening and closing ceremony, free entry to all Games sports venues and a free souvenir handbook.

Early Bird entries close on October 31st 2014.
