CMJ crash causes heavy congestion in central Auckland
The NZ Transport Agency says a crash involving six vehicles is causing congestion and delays on the Southern Motorway (State Highway 1) in central Auckland.
The crash has closed two of the three northbound lanes between the Symonds Street and SH16 off-ramps in the Central Motorway Junction (Spaghetti Junction).
The Transport Agency says a slow moving queue of northbound traffic is extending south beyond the Mt Wellington interchange, and it advises drivers to avoid the area or use the Southwestern Motorway (SH20) from Manukau as an alternative route north.
Southbound traffic using the Southern Motorway is not affected
