Sky Tower celebrates Rainbow Tick
Sky Tower celebrates Rainbow Tick
Auckland’s skyline will sparkle with the colours of the rainbow on Saturday 1 November, with the Sky Tower lit to celebrate SKYCITY Auckland achieving The Rainbow Tick certification.
The Rainbow Tick officially recognises SKYCITY Auckland as an employer that encourages and affirms lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, takatāpui and intersex staff. The Sky Tower will shine with an eye-catching rainbow effect for one night only.
The Sky Tower is the southern hemisphere’s tallest man-made structure, and has become a recognisable part of Auckland’s cityscape.
SKYCITY lights the Sky Tower to show support for a number of organisations and special events.
SKYCITY often lights the Tower for charities or community initiatives that we support financially, or to mark national holidays, milestones or other celebrations.
