Shape
Kaikohe, Northland, New Zealand December 5,
2014
By popular demand the hanging baskets are back to brighten Kaikohe’s main street this summer! Beautification is one of the main components of the Kaikohe Community Development Plan’s to establish an attractive townscape.
The Kaikohe Business Association is the driving force for lifting the appearance of the town’s main street. Other KBA initiatives this year have included the welcome signs at the entrances to town, street furniture, public toilets, car parking for the cycle trail and the walk of fame in the library square. The Business Association has productively worked this year with the Community Board, Northland College and volunteers in beautifying the town. These projects have been funded in part by Pub Charities and grants from the Community Board.
