Man falls from roof
Today just before 1700 hrs the Tauranga based Trustpower TECT Rescue helicopter was dispatched to Te Kaha where a 47 year old local man fallen from the roof of a two story house.
It is not known why the man was on the roof and the reason for his fall but it is believed he fell as a result of a medical event.
The reason the helicopter was called was to deliver specialist care to the patient and fast transport to hospital from the remote location.
The man was flown to Whakatane hospital with leg and facial injuries and in a serious condition.
