Sky Tower lighting tops off 16 days of Chinese New Year celebrations at SKYCITY
The Sky Tower will don the traditional colours of red and gold to celebrate Chinese New Year, from 18 February to 5 March*
Chinese New Year will see 16 days of celebration at SKYCITY Auckland including free performances every Thursday, Friday, Saturday andSunday.
In addition to everything happening at SKYCITY Auckland Jade Dragon restaurant will be popping up at Auckland Lantern Festival onThursday 26 March with free tuk tuks between Albert Park and SKYCITY Auckland.
On Sunday 1 March, to mark the close of the Auckland Lantern Festival, a breathtaking fireworks display will illuminate Auckland from the top of the Sky Tower.
The Sky Tower is the southern hemisphere’s tallest man-made structure, and has become an iconic part of Auckland’s cityscape.
SKYCITY lights the Sky Tower to show support for a number of organisations and special events.
SKYCITY often lights the Tower for charities or community initiatives that we support financially, or to mark national holidays, milestones or other celebrations.
